As the season progresses, UTEP Football finds itself in a familiar position: competitive, but searching for consistency. The Miners have shown they can match up physically, but execution in key moments will define how the rest of the year unfolds.
Offensively, sustaining drives remains a priority. Red-zone efficiency and third-down conversions will be critical as competition stiffens. Defensively, tackling and communication have improved, but limiting explosive plays continues to be an area of focus.
Special teams could also become a difference-maker. Field position, clean returns, and disciplined coverage units can swing momentum in tight conference games.
If the Miners can clean up these areas, the foundation is there for meaningful progress and late-season momentum.
